The Faces of Lynn // Lynn Hip Hop Exhibit

The Faces of Lynn // Lynn Hip Hop Exhibit is a collaboration between Faces of Lynn Magazine and the Lynn Hip Hop Wall of Fame to showcase Lynn Hip Hop history at the Lynn Museum. The exhibit will take place in the 2nd floor classroom at the Lynn Museum which will be decorated to look like a home bedroom DIY recording studio similar to how many artists get started when they begin their musical journey. Each wall of the classroom will have elements of Lynn Hip Hop dedicated to it

Wall 1: Faces of Lynn Hip Hop

A wall dedicated to Faces of Lynn with portraits of the artists who participated in the Faces of Lynn Magazine issue.

Wall 2: Events and Performances

A wall dedicated to memorable shows featuring Lynn artists along with collages of Lynn artists performing.

Wall 3: Lynn Hip Hop Art

A wall dedicated to artwork done by Lynn artists in the Hip Hop community. Art work is available for sale at the discretion of the artist.

Wall 4: Info Wall + Sponsorships & Overflow

This wall goes into detail about the contributors of this project and their work (Faces of Lynn, LHHWF, Grind House) and goes into details about Lynn Hip Hop History and culture taken from the stories of those involved such as Wreck Shop Movement, Premiere Rap Battle League, KMF Lynn, and various artists who have been apart of the Lynn Hip Hop community.

There will also be a sponsorship panel for the sponsor(s) of the exhibit.

Television playing Lynn Hip Hop Media

A television playing Lynn Hip Hop music videos, interviews, documentaries and other media on loop playing at a low volume and/or through headphones.

Bedroom/In-Home Recording Studio Theme

An active bedroom studio will be on display playing Lynn Hip Hop music through studio monitors and/or through headphones playing Lynn Hip Hop music on a loop. There will be a mic, midi drum pad, and other active recording accessories for visitors who wish to jump in and create music.

Lynn Hip Hop Memorabilia

Memorabilia will be dispersed throughout the room such as a notepad filled with songs handwritten by Lynn artists, vinyl records from Lynn artists available for sale, a wardrobe full of merch available for sale.

Other Elements

A cot set up by the window with a tape player and headphones with classic Lynn Hip Hop on the tape so people can lay down in the cot, throw on headphones and look out the window while they listen.
